Suspension doesn’t stop with our uplines; proper hardware and rigging is critical to safer suspension. However, rope education often doesn’t go beyond a cursory reminder to use gear rated for climbing. In this class, we will dive into the details of hardware and rigging for rope suspension. We will discuss how to select, correctly use, and maintain rigging gear for a variety of applications. We will also discuss how to assess the safety of a hardpoint and rig from it.
