Lines of Suspense: Intro to Uplines

In this hands-on class, we will take a deep dive into uplines. You will learn a variety of hangars, lock offs, and ways to burn rope at the end of your uplines. We will also cover safety tips for suspension and how to mitigate and navigate rope jams and emergencies. This is a great class for those new to suspension or those looking to polish their uplines. The person tying should feel comfortable setting and maintaining tension, and know how to tie a suspension-worthy lower body tie and suspendable upper body tie. Suspendable harnesses will not be taught in this class. The person being tied should have an interest in and/or desire to engage with rope suspension and should be able to communicate about their needs and rope placement.
Bring a partner, your suspension kit, a notebook and writing implement, your creativity, and a cutting tool. This class is also accessible for folks tying without a partner - just bring a bag to suspend for this class.
