Gender Discard Party - Dark Odyssey

In 2019, In response to the rash of elaborate "Gender Reveal Parties" in the news and on social media, Nayland developed the Gender Discard Party, A fun way for folks to engage with each other around the ways that gender identity constrains and confuses us all. It's easy to participate: just bring one item that represents an aspect of your gender that you want to get rid of, and when your turn comes, explain to folks what it is and why you're done with it. Then place it in our glamorous Discard pile, and at the end of the event, feel free to chose something else in the pile that speaks to you. Over the years people have discarded many different things: clothing, jewelry, scents, leathers, even hair ties. Come, Laugh, Give others the gift of the gender you don't need any more. Even if you don't have something picked out in advance, come anyway, you just might get inspired!
