Prolonging your rope scene: a balance between strength and malleability
This class will explore techniques of resistance in rope as well as relaxing into positions to help conserve energy in order to provide more sustainable and prolonged rope scenes. Bottoms should be comfortable with rope suspension and must be able to sustain either a TK or alternate upper body harness. Bottoms must be able to effectively communicate with their tops and have enough body awareness to know the difference between “difficult” rope and “dangerous” rope. Riggers must be able to tie a suspendable upper body harness as well as have knowledge of upline management. Riggers must also understand basic principles of static suspension (knowledge of dynamic suspension is recommended but not required). This is a BOTTOM led class. Riggers must be receptive to feedback in adjusting ties, placement of rope etc. as necessary.
