Britt

Britt is a disabled, neurodivergent being with a passion for rope and leather. They have been shining shoes since their padawan years, and their love of leather has only grown since. Using their knowledge of leather care they turned to leather crafting to fuel their love of great costuming at LARP, building armor and other gear. Coming into the kink community in 2015 led them to discover the world of Leather and Bootblacking. Sitting in the chair at a stand at Fetish Fair Flea having their boots serviced, they knew immediately they found their home -- and it involved being on the other side of the chair. As a member of the House of Artemisia, Britt has been bootblacking on stands since 2020 at Dark Odyssey's Winterfire, Fusion, and Summer Camp. They have also run local Leather nights and Bootblacking 101 classes. There is a saying, "ask two bootblacks a question and you get three different answers", and true as that holds, Britt has a passion for combining their crafting, engineering, and bit of chemistry background to break down where those differences are personal preference, and where the unified ground is in the middle of those answers. Britt is a military brat who learned their first high spit shine with a tin of kiwi, a toothbrush, and an old sock. Don't let their current kit fool you, as they regularly return to those basics
