Open Loop Rope for Beginners

Get ready to fall in love with a simple but effective tie style. Using over a decade of circus training I will show you how to incorporate technique from the circus world of aerial loops or straps, into your self suspension practice. Open loop rope is a simple tie but very effective for transitions, adding a quick supportive tie and high energy self suspending. Open loop uses a lot of core and limb strength. It is also a great way to turn a self suspension practice into a self-imposed masochistic play session. We will learn how to use not just one but multiple loops at once. We will also learn how to do a single rope suspension with open loop technique. Bring at least 35-40ft of rope. Due to the high energy movements and strain it puts on rope. Posh rope is strongly suggested for single rope suspension.
