Joyful Humiliation
Cheeks blushing, heart racing, stomach dropping, everyone's eyes on you — embarrassment can be absolutely thrilling. While many folks use humiliation for darkness, catharsis, or "edgeplay," this class delights in the cheeky, silly, and absurd, from punishments with pickle juice to human piñatas to rubber band firing squads. We'll discuss the venn diagram of humiliation, degradation, and embarrassment; identify "painful" versus "joyful" buttons we can press; share the planning and play process behind our favorite joyful humiliation scenes; and offer tools and practice exercises for negotiating your own. Sharing and volunteers encouraged (especially if you're embarrassed by sharing)!
