Mayhem's Workshops
Beyond Words: Mastering Nonverbal Communication Skills for Pickup Play
Description: It can be hard to communicate during an impact scene especially in a loud, crowded dungeon. This can be an especially complicated issue when you’re doing pick up play:
When you’re facing away from your partner, how do you communicate effectively in a scene? How do you cue your impact bottom that you’re switching toys? What if your impact top is hitting you too hard?
In this class, Mayhem will teach how they non-verbally communicate with their scene partners during play. Using simple hand gestures and body poses, both the top and bottom in any scene will be able to quickly read each other without using words at all. At the end of this class you will feel more confident in being able to communicate to your partner during your impact scenes!
Kind of Class: Demo
Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: No impact experience necessary. Consent and negotiation for impact play will not be covered.
Materials needed: None
Flow and Flourish: Dual Wielding for Impact Play
Description: Two is always better than one! Mayhem is known for their dual wielding impact style, and in this class Mayhem will teach you how to throw double floggers, canes, paddles, and more! You will then have time to practice your new skill set and get feedback from Mayhem. Come learn the basics of throwing matched pairs of impact toys, using both hands, at the same time! Note: Dual wielding is not the same as Florentine flogging (which Mayhem can teach by request). This class will not focus on Florentine flogging.
Kind of Class: Demo
Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Prerequisites: Ability to throw an impact toy one handed, plus ability to practice throwing a pair of toys with both hands.
