It’s the first night of Surrender and the best and brightest the kink community has to offer from across the country have come together to create an evening of exploration and discovery we like to call The Exploratorium. There will be sexy and exciting demos all night so you can see these masters in action. But more importantly those same tops will be available throughout the night, providing samples of a huge variety of play. This is your chance to explore your kink, with amazing tops, and get ready to enjoy the most amazing weekend of kink, debauchery, and perversion on the west coast!

Bawdy Storytelling – the Nation’s Original Sex + Storytelling event & the series the LA Weekly calls “The Moth for Pervs”– is bringing its one-of-a-kind approach to carnal personal narrative to Surrender! Fresh on the heels of new awards in both Los Angeles (Best Sexy Storytelling) and San Francisco (Best Literary Event), this Bay Area landmark has become a national treasure by consistently showcasing the vulnerability, unexpected transcendence and hilarity of sex and kink – all while delivering new opportunities to connect (and more) in an entertaining way. Featuring Real People & Rockstars sharing their true stories of sexual adventure for almost 7 years now, Bawdy Storytelling teases liberating tales out of everyday people to create unforgettable experiences for both performers and audiences alike. At this Dark Odyssey show, we’ll feature a line-up of known entities in curated stories, & then we’ll have BawdySlam (where we give YOU the opportunity to tell your 5 minute tale). After all, this how we build community: we tell our stories.
International Little Miss & Mister Little’s Contest
Experience the thrill of competition! The International Little Miss & Mister Little Contest is fun and glamorous, allowing Littles to experience the bright lights of being a star while building a brighter future for our community! This contest encourages Littles to speak in an articulate fashion, model with confidence, enter a room with a bright disposition, and learn the importance of a big smile! The contest consists of three parts:
- Dress: Each Little will make a tour of the stage for one minute. Dress ensembles may be glamour, traditional, genre, or baby wear.
- Talent: Each Little will perform or demonstrate a talent for up to two minutes. Only props that can be carried onstage and one assistant will be allowed.
- Question: Each Little will be asked a question pertinent to the Little lifestyle, submitted by the judges.
The contest is open to any Little of any gender. Please sign up by Friday evening at the Surrender Information Desk. Pacific Coast Power Exchange Contest
Celebrate the vast diversity of power exchange dynamics with us during the Pacific Coast Power Exchange title contest! There’s no “one TWUE way” here- this teaching title is about having fun and showing genuine relationship dynamics, from leather families to Owner/pet, Dom/sub to Rigger/ropebunny- or perhaps some we haven’t even thought of yet! The contest will be taking place throughout the weekend, as the contestants will interviewed and the judges observe their dynamic during the entire event. The stage portion on Sunday is the climax of the contest, featuring an educational presentation and fantasy performance from each contestant pair/triad, after which we’ll tally the scores and announce the 2015 Pacific Coast Power Exchange titleholders! Think you got what it takes to be a kinky presenter? Want to help shape the next generation of teachers and learn how to be more entertaining, professional, and goddamnsexyhot? Come to the Kinky Shark Tank, hosted by Graydancer, where three daring hopeful presenters will get a chance to show a panel of judges why their message needs to be heard. They will get friendly critique, snarky comments, and valuable suggestions for improving their presentation skills. The audience and judges will also vote for who gets the grand prize: a guaranteed spot as a presenter at Dark Odyssey: Surrender next year!

Cigars, Boots and Chocolate
Join host Big Poppa “Saynine” and sponsor Legion of Sin for an evening celebrating some of the most exciting tastes, sights, and aromas of kink. Cigars, Boots, and Chocolate will feature tastings and demonstrations of Cigar enjoyment and play, delicious chocolates, and boot blacking as well as other encouraged naughty fun. This is also the official reception for the newly named 2015 Pacific Coast Power Exchange titleholders- help us kick off their title year!
A fine assortment of Cigars and Chocolate with be available, with donations to benefit the Pacific Coast Power Exchange. There will also be opportunity to bid on some fun, like erotic cigar lighting and special boot blacking. There will also be Demos. DO’s Littles’ Nursery with Penny Barber
Come unwind and play in the Little Nursery and Daycare! Oversized toys, a changing station, coloring, and more are all present to help you get into Little headspace and let go in an accepting, well-equipped environment. Get stickers for extra good behavior, earn a merit badge, and meet Horatio, the adult size rocking horse. He’s friendly and strong and loves to make new friends!
