Cannon & Killjoy's Workshops

Building & Maintaining Your Pet Dynamic

In this class, which is suitable for newbies and established players alike, pet switches Cannon/Pistol and Killjoy/Bun will delve into the emotional components of this relationship style. What is a pet dynamic, and why might we pursue one? What needs might these roles fulfill? What dynamics are possible beyond that of submissive pet/dominant human owner? Together, we’ll all explore techniques for gaining a deeper understanding of our personas, as well as tools for building and reinforcing our dynamics on a daily basis. Whether you woof, meow, squawk, growl, chirp, or just want to get close to a special critter, this class is for you!

Improvisational Rope Bondage

Abandoning familiar structures, forms and ties can be a daunting endeavor. Yet when we free ourselves from the confines of our familiar systems of restraints, we find new ways of binding, contorting, stressing and engaging our partners. This hands-on and ropes-on workshop seeks to give you the tools to explore bondage outside the box ties, hip harnesses and frog ties we at times become reliant on. By embracing asymmetry and improvisation, this class shows you how to take advantage of your partner’s body in new, unexpected, and inspired ways.
Requires at least three 25-30 ft. long ropes (6mm or quarter-inch diameter) per pair of students. Partner required. Much shorter or much longer than this really won’t work well for this class. Bring a mat or a blanket, as you’ll be working on the ground. Natural fiber rope such as jute or hemp strongly recommended.

Strength & Mobility for Rope Bottoming

The best physical preparation for rope is some good ol' fashioned rope… but for many of us, getting tied on a regular basis isn’t always an option. In this hands-on class, we’ll discuss and practice techniques that rope bottoms can use outside the dungeon to maintain (and, if it aligns with your personal goals, enhance) some of our capabilities. We’ll cover such topics as self-massage/soft tissue work, stretching and basic flexibility training, and some straightforward strength exercises that can help bottoms of all levels and abilities feel capable both in and out of rope. Please bring…Body awareness to participate in ways that are right for your body. Comfortable attire (or lack thereof) that allows you to move freely. If desired, a yoga mat or blanket.
