IPCookieMonster

IPCookieMonster has been a kinky pansexual polyamorous pagan freak for several years, and has written extensively about about her deliciously deviant lifestyle on fetlife and her blog, slutphd.com. In the “vanilla” world, she has one of the best jobs ever: she’s a professor of sociology who studies the BDSM scene. In the “chocolate” world, she’s a founding member of the firespinning troupe Hubris, and an occasional poledancing burlesque performer. When not trying to find polite academic ways to talk about “fucking women with a baseball bat,” flinging fire around her head, or taking off her clothes while hanging upside down naked from a pole, she’s been… researching… ways to have awesome switchy sex with lots of people and explain her results to others. You know, for science!

IPCookieMonster's Workshops

Fluid-Bonding in Poly Dynamics

Although the non-monogamous community in general tends to emphasize the importance of safer sex, many people in long-term polyamorous relationships eventually, often hesitantly and fearfully, negotiate fluid-bonded partner arrangements. This workshop will discuss the meaning of "fluid-bonding" and some of the challenges people frequently encounter as they try to create these types of arrangements with poly partners. Most importantly, we'll work together to brainstorm some solutions to those challenges, and share stories of how people make this work.

Intimacy and Advanced Sex Magick

The advanced sex magick techniques discussed in this class are based on the assumption of intimacy and long-term partnership. This workshop is designed to help you create and maintain intensely personal sex magick rituals, both in the context of D/S/s relationships, and in more power-neutral relationships. We will break down some of the fundamental aspects of ritual, and we will help you and your partner think about how to relate your core desires to the aspects of ritual that you find most compelling. Come prepared to discuss your desires, intentions, and challenges.

Paganism 101 for Kinksters

If you're kinky and wondering what the hell the people over there have been chanting about, why there's an extra "k" in "magick," or why some people drone on about "energy," this class is for you! This class will give you a brief overview of what pagans believe, how they practice, and how those beliefs and practices align well with BDSM. You don't need to believe, just be curious!

Poly-Architecture: Building and Maintaining Different Kinds of Poly Relationships

Polyamory is hardly a one-size-fits-all proposition. This workshop is designed to help support different types of polyamorous relationships, including what we might call polyfidelity, hierarchical polyamory, and anarchical polyamory. We will discuss the pros and cons of these relationship dynamics, and the lifestyle preferences that suit them best. We will also discuss how to build each of these types of relationships, and discuss strategies from "processing" to google calendars that help successfully maintain them.
